THE WORK IS CONCENTRATED in Leogane, in the Morne Barbeau and Destra community, about 24 miles from Haiti’s capital of Port-au-Prince.

  • Poverty and hunger has been a daily part of life.

  • Since the 2010 earthquake, following droughts, and hurricanes, life remains challenging.

  • There is no modern plumbing for water, no flush toilets, no electricity, and no personal cars.

  • The average farm wage, is less than $2 a day.

Mission Statement:  According to the statement of Jesus in Matthew 25:35, HCHO exist to advocate for vulnerable children. To assist poor children, to become true honest Christian citizens, able to change their communities and their country.

To do this, HCHO is committed to preaching the Gospel of Christ, while taking into account the spiritual, social, economic and physical needs of each child, in keeping with Jesus' growth model.


Haiti's Childrens Hope Org. School admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
