Haiti’s Children Hope Org. (HCHO) September 1, 2017
We are looking to this School Year 2017/2018 with great expectations. We are looking for people who are interested in making a real difference in lives of children that live in poverty. We are a Christian Non-Profit (HCHO) and are in our 6th year. We would love to come to your church, club, or group, and make a short presentation. After the January 2010 Earthquake, 2012/2015 famine, and 2016 Hurricane Haiti still struggles. In June of 2012 local Haitians ask if we could help with a bible study and feeding 18 children. In the last 5 years we have a mission supported by 30 well educated and talented Volunteer Haitians, trying to help children. We have 8 US Volunteers that support prayers, funding, development, programs, mission teams and financial monitoring. God has blessed this ministry. The philosophy is “Haitians Helping Haitians, with a little help from their friends”. We are working on a model that will be sustainable and improved infrastructure and community development. We want to bring hope to the “Poorest of the Poor, “The Least of These”. We hope for an independent, Christian principled country through Haiti’s children and families. We have 5 programs: 1. Christian School, We serve 180 students, with a newly finished 2nd story, 10 room school, providing Kindergarten to 4rth Grade. This includes qualified teachers and daily school lunches. We are now in our third school year. 2. Kid’s Club Saturdays, has up to 400 children, including bible study, lunch, activities, vocational training for teens, and socialization. 3. Food for Life, a goat distribution program that has assisted 58 families, from food subsidies, hospital visits, and educational needs. 4. Child Sponsorship, now assist 94 children with educational and basic food needs. 5. Medical Care, We hired a nurse in January 2017, and she has been helpful with local children needs, and has positioned us for a medical clinic in the near future. HCHO is providing an opportunity to encounter God, feeding over 5,000 meals monthly, educating children, and bringing about positive social change to the community. Since the devastating natural disasters, political unrest, and poverty, we have seen many positive changes. We hope to add more child sponsorships, a Medical Clinic, a small poultry farm, an additional fruit and vegetable farm, and a 2nd Kid’s Club in another impoverished area. Haiti’s Children Hope Org. (HCHO) September 1, 2017 Thanks for all of your support and attention.
